Everything happens on your device

🔒 100% private

Most "free" image compressors upload your photos to their servers. QuickImage never does — your images are processed by your own browser and never leave your computer.

🎯 Hit an exact size

Need "under 100 KB" for a form upload or "under 1 MB" for an email? Target-size mode finds the best possible quality for your limit automatically.

📐 Smart resizing

Fit within a maximum size, scale by percent, or set exact pixel dimensions — with high-quality downscaling that keeps text and edges crisp.

🔁 Modern formats

Convert PNG screenshots to WebP and cut their size by 60–80%, or turn WebP files back into universally-supported JPG.

🧹 Strips metadata

Re-encoding removes EXIF data — GPS location, camera model, timestamps — so photos are safe to share.

⚡ Instant

No upload and no queue means a 20 MB photo compresses in about a second, even on a laptop.

Common tasks

Compress a photo to 100 KB

Drop the photo → Compression: "Target size" → 100 KB → Process. Perfect for visa applications, job portals and government forms with strict upload limits.

Resize for the web

Use the "Web" preset: fits images within 1920px at 80% quality — the sweet spot for sharp, fast-loading pages.

PNG screenshot too big?

Convert it to WebP at 90% quality. It will look identical and be a fraction of the size.

Batch-shrink a whole folder

With Premium, drop 200 vacation photos at once, pick a preset, and download a single ZIP — done in a minute.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything runs in your browser using its built-in image engine. Your files never leave your device — you can even use QuickImage offline once the page has loaded.

How do I compress an image to under 100 KB?

Choose "Target size" in the Compression panel, enter 100 KB and press Process. QuickImage automatically searches for the best quality that fits, and scales the image down if needed.

What's the difference between JPG, PNG and WebP?

JPG is the universal choice for photos. PNG is lossless and supports transparency but makes big files. WebP is a modern format that's typically 25–35% smaller than JPG at the same visual quality — great for the web.

Does it work with transparent PNGs?

Yes. Transparency is preserved when exporting to PNG or WebP. Exporting to JPG (which doesn't support transparency) fills the background with white.

Is there a file size or count limit?

Free mode processes one image at a time, of any size your browser can open. Premium unlocks unlimited batch processing with a single ZIP download.

Is the quality slider used for PNG?

No — PNG is lossless, so quality doesn't apply. To make a PNG dramatically smaller, convert it to WebP or JPG, or resize it.
